Litho Project
Photoshop Editing Directions
Litho Series: Create a “photo” design for a litho series. The design should have both photography and drawing elements by using both sharpie and ballpoint pen. Create two prints using black ink, one print using colored ink, and a series of three images where you combine monotype with litho to create monoprints.
These prints are due by Friday, May 11.

April 16-20: Work on etching project
- Monday: Work on design for etching and on the Pre-Planning pages for etching project.
- Tuesday: Transfer design to etching plate. The first layer should be the main drawing. Focus on creating value through line.
- Wednesday: Pre-Planning Pages for Etching Project are due! Etch the drawing and make first printing.
- Thursday: Re-apply acrylic resist and etch for darker values. Re-etch.
- Friday: Discuss creating 5 backgrounds to complete the project. Work on printing the 2nd etching.

- hatching grayscale in 5 shades

- Wednesday: Complete aluminum flashing mini-lab.
- Thursday: Work on the intaglio pre-planning and complete design based on the lino print series.

March 5-15: Reductive Lino based on Artist-Inspiration
Ooops, I forgot to blog last week... Last week we were working on our reductive linoleum prints. All should be printing their first color layers for their lino series of 10. Here is your rubric for this project.
- For this week: You should be printing through the second color layer by Friday. Remember you are printing a 10-print series. You need to take mid-point photo of the series and discuss what is working. Project due date will be set by the end of the week.
